Texas police theft illustrates futility of total ’gun control’ – National gun rights

And the lessons of this story have a broader applicability–we’ve just seen an example of total “gun control” by the authorities–where every gun is registered, accounted for and kept under lock and key in an evidence room, until presumably removed under signature for destruction.  If just one small department has ended up losing track of potentially up to 500 guns, just how effective does anyone really think the best laid schemes to account for individual possession will work in society at large?
